We are pleased to announce that Greg Hooke has returned to Lakeview as Director of Golf Operations.  Greg is extremely well liked by the members and we know he will help create a positive customer oriented attitude that all players will enjoy.

hole 3Lakeview Golf Course is in excellent shape and the Golf Course Superintendent, Kurt Hellenga, received the "Superintendent of the Year" award in the November 2007 issue of Virginia Turfgrass Journal.  Congratulations to Kurt on earning this prestigious distinction and thanks to him and his staff for all their hard work and dedication!

John Rogers, Lakeview’s Teaching Professional will be starting his 13th season at Lakeview.  Over the years, John has helped people of all ages and skills improve their golfing skills.  John’s dedication to teaching and his positive attitude enhance Lakeview and we are lucky to have him.  If you need help with any part of your game, don’t hesitate to call on John. 

Lakeview has long been considered one of the premier venues in the Valley for Golf Outings and with 36 excellent holes; we will continue to work with companies and groups to provide exceptional outings.

Lakeview Golf Club owns the golf shop and we carry top line golf merchandise at very competitive prices.  Our desire is for Lakeview Golf Club to be the premier place in the valley not only for golf, but for golf merchandise as well.

Please mark your calendar for the Lakeview Amateur Golf Tournament to be held May 31 and June 1, 2007.  The Lakeview Amateur overall title is among the most coveted amateur titles in the Valley. 

The special member programs that were added during the 2007 season were so well received that we will continue them in 2008.  Members will receive a discount on the price of range ball plans and we will offer “member’s guest” a reduced rate.  In addition, members will receive discounts on merchandise, will be able to keep a VSGA handicap and will be able to purchase golf bag or golf cart storage.
