Senior Men's Golf Association
Lakeview Seniors ... Play Golf
The Lakeview Seniors are group of approximately 50 men at least 50 years young who play golf predominantly on Mondays and Thursdays from April to November.
Monday matches are intraclub matches formed by equal handicap foursomes. They play variations of Capt's choice and walking or riding is optional.
Seventy-five year old players may play from the Gold (forward) tees.
Thursday's matches are usually interclub matches with other golf course seniors. 20-24 men teams travel to other clubs and play two-man best ball handicap matches and then enjoy a lunch afterwards.
The interclub matches on Thursday are pay as you play, approx. $25. This covers cart fees and lunch. Participants do not have to play both home and away matches with a particular club. A VSGA handicap is required to play in these matches.
Lakeview is also a member in the Shenandoah Valley League. These matches are part of the interclub matches on Thursdays. A rotating trophy is awarded each year and there is a one day, year-end tournament when all league clubs play each other on the same course.
Annual dues are $25 to cover prizes and expenses.
