Dear Current and Prospective Members, The Lakeview Board of Directors has consolidated and increased most Season Membership rates for 2010. We have also introduced optional payment plans that will make it much easier to renew season memberships, or for new players and their families to join Lakeview. In addition, the Board has introduced a system of “reward cards” so that players may purchase a set number of rounds for 2010.
Annual season pass holders are “members” with membership benefits, including unlimited use of the practice range and free range balls, and inclusive participation in all member events. Those who purchase “reward cards” will not have member status. Please note that both “regular adult” and “senior” family memberships include spouses and dependent minor family members. Lakeview will continue to keep individual junior and student rates low, and we will also continue to support sponsored high school and college teams. We will not endorse a corporate rate, but we will accommodate company tournaments or leagues, and men’s, women’s and seniors' “association” events as specific promotional programs. We understand how everyone would enjoy lower rates, but the hard economic fact is that for us to maintain a quality course, we face significantly higher costs. Lakeview will strive to hold that quality intact, to hold costs down, and to improve the course whenever possible. Ultimately, we have one focused goal to do our best to provide everyone with a pleasurable golfing experience. We invite all members and guests to review the membership rates, the payment options, and the reward card program. A full schedule of rates will accompany this letter, be posted on our website, and emailed. Please contact Head PGA Professional, Mike Gooden, with any questions you may have. The decision to raise rates was made with careful consideration. We sincerely hope to retain our existing members and to encourage others to join Lakeview through the optional payment plans. However, we are aware that some players do not feel that they play often enough to justify a full membership. Those individuals may want to consider a “reward card” with a pre-paid number of rounds as more beneficial.
